Miami Lakes businessman Aaron Lee represents South Florida at UN Goals forum

Entrepreneurs’ Organization – South Florida (EO-SOFLO), represented by Miami Lakes business owner Aaron Lee, has joined the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) initiative designed to wipe out global poverty, fight inequality and tackle climate change by 2030.

As president of EO-SOFLO, Lee was appointed to the EO committee that recently met at the United Nations during the 72nd session of the U.N General Assembly. At the event, which drew dignitaries and leaders from around the world, the local entrepreneur signed the official EO charter that pledges to support 17 U.N. SDA goals.

The charter states that these businesses are committed to making a positive impact in cities, communities and countries in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Lee said many EO-SOFLO members already are focused on sustainable start-up and business development, as well as helping the community through mentoring, volunteering, serving on charity boards and more throughout the region.

“Our South Florida members recognize the importance of being global citizens, looking beyond our businesses to make a positive impact in our communities and the world through social entrepreneurship,” said Lee, who founded digital marketing company iluma Agency in Miami Lakes 16 years ago.

“It was such an honor taking this a step further, representing our chapter and the overall South Florida business community at the U.N. to join this critically important partnership,” said Lee.
