Miami Lakes congregational Church presents Chamber concert September 12 featuring violinist Eric Silberger

Virtuoso violinist Eric Silberger makes his recital debut in Miami Lakes playing solos and joining local musicians: Violist Michael Klotz, cellist Jason Calloway (both Artists-in-Residence at FIU School of Music), and renowned pianist Adolfo Vidal for an evening of solo violin and chamber music at Miami Lakes Congregational Church.

The concert will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, at the church, 6701 Miami Lakeway South, across from Miami Lakes K-8 Center.

Silberger is a prize winner of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition and the Michael Hill International Violin Competition in 2011. His performances have been described by critics as “spine-tingling...astonishing” (The Guardian); “dazzling virtuoso playing” (The Washington Post), “impeccable level of playing, a wonderful musician” (Heather Kurzbauer, The Strad), and “...he has got everything in his favour, technique, composure and personality. We are on the eve of a great soloist” (El Pais, Spain.)

Silberger has performed as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician throughout the United States and around the world, including solo performances with the St. Petersburg Philharmonia, Marinsky Orchestra, Konzerthaussorchester Berlin, Chamber Orchestra of the Marinsky Theatre, London Philharmonia, Danish National Symphony, and the Munich Chamber Orchestra, among others.

The suggested donation if $15 for Miami Lakes residents. A reception will follow the performance with the artists. The program is part of the Church’s annual concert series and is co-presented by the VI Miami Music Festival from around the World. For more information, call 305-455-1269.
