The MIA Flag Football team representing Miami Lakes won the 16U age division title at the Youth Flag Football World Championships held in January at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.  The Optimist Club of Miami Lakes kicked off its 2024 baseball and softball seasons with a visit from Billy the Marlin. First Tee Miami welcomes public school students

 Miami Lakes Golf Club and First Tee Miami welcomed more than 500 students from 17 Miami-Dade County Public Schools for its special needs golf program in February.
